Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Fidd Labs Ltd (“Fidd Labs”, “we”, “us”) builds mobile applications. This policy explains what information we handle when you use our website at fiddl.xyz and the mobile apps we publish.

The short version

Our apps do not require an account, do not contain advertising and do not track you across other apps or websites. Settings, progress and play statistics live on your device. To understand which parts of our apps get used and to fix crashes, our apps send anonymous usage and error reports, tied to a random identifier rather than to you. You can switch this off at any time. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Information we handle

Information you give us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation.

Data stored on your device

Our apps store your settings, favourites, progress and play statistics (such as how long and how often you play) locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us, apart from the anonymous usage reports described below. It may be included in your device’s own backups. Removing the app removes this data.

Anonymous usage and error reports

Our apps use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to collect anonymous usage and error reports. These include:

  • when the app is installed, updated, opened and closed, and which parts of it you open;
  • how long you spend in each part and how many taps, holds, drags and swipes you make there — as counts only, never where on the screen you touch;
  • when the purchase screen is shown and whether a purchase or restore was started, completed or restored — without prices, receipts or payment details;
  • details of errors that make the app crash or misbehave;
  • general technical information: the app version, device model, operating system and version, screen size, language and time zone.

These reports are tied to a random identifier created when the app is installed. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple or Google account, or advertising identifier. When the reports are sent, PostHog receives your device’s IP address and uses it to estimate an approximate location, such as your country, region or city. We do not collect your precise location.

You can turn these reports off with the “Share anonymous usage” switch in the app. When it is off, no usage or error reports are sent. The app still checks with PostHog, using the same random identifier, which features to show, so that it can turn features on or off without an update.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, which handle payment; we never receive your payment details. We useRevenueCat to confirm purchases and let you restore them. RevenueCat receives a random identifier and details of your purchase and receipt from the store. We do not link this identifier to the usage reports above.

App updates

When the app opens, it checks Expo’s update service for small updates. These checks send a random identifier and the app’s version and platform, and, if the app crashed the last time it ran, a description of the error.

Links to other websites

Our apps may link to, or show previews of, other websites, such as those of projects we credit. When you open one, that website receives the information your device normally sends, such as your IP address, and its own privacy policy applies.

Motion and sensor data

Some interactions use device motion sensors, such as the accelerometer, to respond to how you hold your device. This is processed on your device in real time. We do not record, store or transmit sensor data.

Website visits

This website is a static site. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider processes standard technical logs — such as IP address, user agent and requested URL — to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

How we use information

  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To provide and restore purchases.
  • To understand how our apps are used, find and fix problems, and improve them.
  • To deliver app updates and decide which features to show.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving our apps for usage and error reports and app updates, on providing what you bought for purchases, and on your choice to contact us for email.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above and others that help us run our website and business, and only where required by law. Some of these providers are based in the United States; where information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our records. We keep anonymous usage and error reports for as long as they help us understand and improve our apps, and then delete them. Purchase records are kept so that you can restore your purchases. Data stored by our apps on your device remains under your control.

Children

Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Because usage reports are tied only to a random identifier, we may not be able to find them from your name or email address. To make a request, email dev@fiddl.xyz. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date above.
